[ΕΣ]Τ[FΕ]ΔΙΙ[ΥΣ] Slinger standing right; to right, triskeles running right; all within dotted square border within incuse square; to left, countermark: eagle or falcon standing right, looking back. This pose for the wrestlers is exceptionally rare, with no examples of this type shown in either SNG Paris or Arslan & Lightfoot. The eagle or falcon countermark is also quite uncommon, although we have handled a few examples in the past. For reference, see Leu Web Auction 29, lots 771-773.
